Our high air filter kit for the Coleman CT100U mini bike is unique to that model and is not used on any other Coleman bike. It’s a quick and easy job to upgrade your engine’s air filter. Gas mini bike engines need a large volume of clean dust-free air flowing into the carburetor in order to produce the horsepower that you want when on the track or trail. This big filter does a superlative job in keeping the dust and crud out of your carb, resulting in better horsepower and smoother running. This kit includes the filter, velocity stack, gasket, filter-to-carburetor mounting studs, adapter, bracket, hose clamp, and hardware.
Note A:
In order to mount this high air filter onto your Coleman’s carburetor, you will need to rotate your pull start approximately 80-degrees (or one bolt hole) clockwise. This will put your pull start handle slightly to the left of vertical and out of the way of the filter.
Note B:
This filter assembly includes a velocity stack. This is the large machined alloy ring with a beveled inside diameter that fits into the rubber base of the filter. When mounting this filter assembly, always make sure that the wider end of the hole is inside of the filter and the smaller or narrower end of the hole is on the carburetor side. When properly mounted, the stack functions as a venturi, smoothing the air flow into the carburetor and likewise smoothing the engine’s running.
