The clutches on your cart and all of their parts, EZGO Driven Clutch Washer included, are extremely important in making your vehicle run correctly. The secondary clutch is the one that is mounted on the rear axle. It has a belt that attaches it to the primary clutch that is located on the engine. As the primary clutch spins, it gets skinnier thanks to weights and centrifugal force. When this happens, it splits the secondary clutch with the belt making it wider. An internal spring, depending on the stiffness, will prevent the unit from opening quickly. What does this mean for you The longer your clutch stays closed, the more torque you build. Easier hill climbing and take-off will be much quicker.
